Faculties from abroad

Dr. J. M. PEDEN - Production Technology
Dr. J. M. Peden is Principal Production Technologist with Advanced
Well Technologies in Perth Western Australia. He is also Professor
of Well Technology at Curtin University of Technology. His principal
areas of expertise are in well completion design; formation damage;
sand control; horizontal, multilateral, and HPHT wells. He has authored and co-authored over 100 technical papers, two text books and contributed to numerous conferences as a keynote speaker.

Prior to moving to Australia Jim was the Shell Professor of Petroleum Engineering at
Heriot-Watt University. He was Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the department
from 1982 until 1991. In 1991, he was the founding Director of the Horizontal Well
Technology Unit. He was a visiting Professor at Stanford University. Prior to joining
Heriot-Watt, he was employed by Shell in the Middle East and the North Sea.

CAMERON MANIFOLD - Managing Director, AWT
Graduating from Queensland University in 1985, Cameron has
gained in excess of 18 years experience in the upstream oil and gas
industry. Commencing initially with Australian onshore oil and gas
fields and moving to the offshore industry in 1988, Cameron has
extensive experience in oil and gas field development, particularly in sub-sea developments. He has worked both onshore and offshore in Australia, S. E. Asia, Africa and the UK and has complimentary broader skills in Reservoir, Petroleum and Production Engineering. Cameron has specific expertise in horizontal well completion design and intervention technology.

In November 1996, Cameron co-founded the Advanced Well Technologies (AWT)
consulting engineering group to provide quality Petroleum Engineering Services to
the Australasian region.

In addition to technical responsibilities on a series of projects, Cameron is Managing Director for AWT. He also serves as director on the boards of several companies both within Australia and the United Kingdom. In 2002, in recognition of the capabilities and growth of the organization, Cameron was a recipient of the Business News' award as one of the top 40 businessmen under 40 years of age in Western Australia.

DOMINIC BRUEHWILER - Operation Director
Dominic Bruehwiler joined BHP Petroleum in 1990. He spent 3 years
in the Well Services Department gaining in-depth experience in
subsea well operations. During this time Dominic reached the
position of lead engineer and was involved in the planning and
execution of workovers and completions on all BHP Petroleum's Timor Sea and North West Shelf operations. He was also involved in all aspects of exploration well testing in these regions. Following this, he transferred to the Production Department in Darwin where he was the Senior Production Engineer for all three Timor Sea FPSO's (Challis, Skua, Jabiru).

Dominic joined Advanced Well Technologies in February 1997 and after working on an initial contract with BHP Petroleum moved on to various projects we ll testing and completions contracts with Apache Energy Ltd, Premier Oil Australasia, New Zealand Oil and Gas, Woodside Energy Limited and Phillips Petroleum.

KEVIN LAY - Completion Engineering
Kevin Lay joined BHP Petroleum in Melbourne as a graduate in 1982
and held a number of positions in Australia and Vietnam with roles in
production operations, reservoir engineering, well services, well
testing, completions engineering, production technology and asset
management. In 1996, Kevin departed BHPB and co-founded AWT and performed consultancy work for a number of clients in Australia and Asia.

Kevin is currently consulting to BHPB as their Completions Engineering Supervisor
based in Perth, Western Australia. In his current role, Kevin is responsible for the
planning and operational aspects of the company's well completion activities in the
Australia/Asia region.

Kevin has authored and co-authored several SPE papers in the fields of Completion
and Subsea Engineering.

JOHN URE - Petroleum Engineering
John Ure is a practicing Petroleum Engineer, born and educated in
Edinburgh, Scotland. He holds a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, a
Masters' degree in Petroleum Engineering and has 22 years diverse
experience in the oil and gas business. He spent the first half of his
career working in the North Sea, gaining experience in reservoir and production engineering with Britoil, Marathon Oil (UK) Ltd and Amerada Hess.

From 1990 to 1996, John operated as an independent consultant Production
Technologist/Completions Engineer, working with Woodside Energy in Perth,
Australia , Petroleum Development Oman and Brunei Shell Petroleum. He also spent
over three years working for Ampolex/Mobil on the Wandoo heavy oil field
development, focussing on completion design and sand control. In 1996, John cofounded Advanced Well Technologies in Perth, and through AWT, has continued to
consult to a variety of companies in the Asia Pacific region. Currently John is
focussing on the delivery of a field development plan for a UK North Sea discovery.

BRIAN SEARLES - Drilling Engineering
Brian Searles, Graduate of Liverpool University, UK in 1978 with an
honors degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 1991 he attained
Chartered Engineer status and Membership to the Institution of
Mechanical Engineers.

The first twelve years of his drilling career was in the North Sea with BP and Texas Eastern. In 1990 he immigrated to Australia and worked for seven years as a drilling consultant on a variety of offshore exploration, appraisal and development project in the Australasian region.

Between 1998 and 2002 Brian was the Principal Drilling Engineer and a Director of
RBT Petroleum Associates, a drilling project management group based in Australia.
During this period he managed many offshore drilling projects in the Australia, South
East Asia and the Mediterranean region.

Brian joined AWT in 2003 as the Drilling Operations Manager.

TORE MOE - Business Development
Tore holds a B.Eng (Hon) in Electronic Computer Systems from
Salford University , England . Since joining the Oil & Gas Industry in
1990 as a Field Engineer with Schlumberger he has held various
positions in the Well Services sector. He has extensive experience in training and mentoring young Well Services and Field Engineers including a year as an instructor at the Schlumberger Training Center in Medan, Indonesia.

During his career in the field, Tore gained extensive experience in managing
operations and well services projects. Prior to joining AWT, Tore was the Regional
Well Services Manager for Aker Kvζrner in Australia and Asia/Pacific.

NICK LAST - Asian Business Unit
Nick Last is a petroleum engineer with 20 years of international
Experience in the North Sea, Africa and the Asia-Pacific region. A
specialist in well testing and production logging, he has spent the
past decade consulting in these and related disciplines for clients in
Australia and South East Asia.

Nick's consulting roles have included field supervision, interpretation, teaching and mentoring, and the development of techniques and work processes to enhance the quality and effective use of Well Test and PL data. Through this experience he has developed a solid practical and theoretical understanding of the role and application of well testing.

After joining Flopetrol-Schlumberger in 1982, Nick worked as a field engineer,
interpretation specialist and operations manager in well testing and well logging.
Since leaving Schlumberger in 1993, he has developed a strong regional reputation
as an independent consultant. He is currently working at Unocal Thailand.

JON ROBERTS - Production Chemistry
Jon Roberts has nearly 30 years oilfield experience. Jon holds a
B.SC (Hon) in Geology from University of Western Australia . He has
worked in exploration and production operations in the USA, SE
Asia, the Middle East, New Zealand and Australia.

Jon has worked for operating and service companies and as an
independent consultant. His specific areas of expertise are production chemistry and
corrosion management focusing on the following areas:

" production chemicals and their application;

" corrosion control and monitoring;

" laboratory procedures and safety;

Jon has been involved in the commissioning and operating of numerous facilities. His
breadth and depth of knowledge offers a valuable resource to AWT clients.

DAVID PRICE - Reservoir Engineering
David Price is Principal Reservoir Engineer with AWT. He has over
25 years experience consulting and working for operating companies
as a Reservoir Engineer. He has an MSc (Pet.Eng.) from Imperial
College, London.

His principal areas of expertise are well testing and analysis, well performance, field appraisal studies, reserves estimation, reservoir
characterisation and simulation and design and implementation of oil and gas field
developments.

Dave has worked on offshore and onshore projects in the North Sea (UK), Australia, and New Zealand. He has experience in engineering a wide variety of reservoir types from tight gas, fractured reservoirs, coal seams to high productivity oil fields.

ANDREW WENK - Southern Business Unit
Andrew Wenk joined the industry in 1985 as Well Services Engineer
for Santos in Adelaide. He has worked in the areas of Completions
Engineering, Production Technology and Well Test Engineering for
operators in Australia, UK, Italy, India , the Middle East and Malaysia
.Projects worked on include multi-zone gas wells with expandable sand screens, triple
lateral horizontal oil wells with designer well trajectories, and open hole gas well ESS
completions. Responsibilities on these and other projects included detailed completion design, procurement and installation. Andrew authored SPE paper 28916 "Monobore Completions And Novel Wireline Perforating Of High Angle Wells In The Nelson Field" published in October 1994.
Andrew currently heads up AWT's Adelaide office whilst providing Completions
Engineering and support to a number of clients in the region.

PAMELA POTGER - Business Development
Pamela Potger has over 30 years experience in the Energy
Resources Industry in Australia, South East Asia and the United
States. She has held various management positions in the fields of
marketing and sales with international corporations.

Pamela has considerable experience developing marketing strategies and has a comprehensive understanding of the technical complexities of the EMP business, and a strong background in contract negotiation.

Pamela holds a degree in Economics, and joined AWT in October 2000 to work with
Cameron Manifold to work towards the business development and growth of the
company.
